Workshop #2 Speaker Spotlight: Adam Garone

Jun 3, 2019 3:21:31 PM / by Ashley Rhodes

This week, we are gearing up for the second workshop in our Stories that Pop! series: Content that Catches On: Putting the Fun in Fundraisers. We are thrilled to have Adam Garone, cofounder of the extremely successful Movember Foundation, speak to our group about creative, engaging fundraising. The Movember Foundation has raised over $1 billion for men's health, so we have no doubts that Adam is going to deliver us a powerful, informative message!

"While tackling serious issues, Adam’s ethos is to always have fun and do good."

More about Adam (www.adamgarone.com)

Adam got his start as as an officer in the Australian Army. After 9 years of service, he earned his Master's in Marketing at Melbourne Business School, propelling him towards a deep interest in the power of digital marketing - the foundation for the Movember technology platform! It wasn't long before Adam and his cofounders (including his brother, Trav) were chatting over beers and came up with the idea of bringing the mustache back into fashion. They started a challenge with 30 guys growing mustaches and a global movement quickly spread like a wildfire! Pretty amazing, right?

Since then, Adam has continued as an activist for men's health through the Movember Foundation. He's also recently assumed the role of CEO at Starlight Children's Foundation, a nonprofit that delivers happiness to seriously ill children and their families. There's no denying that he's passionate about motivating people and changing lives. We are so excited to hear him speak this Thursday!
